In Music Theory IV, we had to apply the knowledge we have learned through four semesters of theory and create a composition showing it. While we were supposed to further edit our first version with ornamentation, we were unable to do so due to the time crunch that the COVID-19 pandemic created for the remainder of the semester.
This helped me learn how the chords and progressions that we learn in class can be applied to real, modern pieces and is not just for history. I also enjoyed making this and working with a time signature that we did not normally use in class.
